Today, former Westfield Mayor, John Palczynski, died. Palczynski, who was mayor several decades ago sat on the Westfield Gas & Electric commission. He was 78. He was mayor from 1968-1973. His administration is credited with bringing Westfield mayor's office into the modern era.
